In October 2004, the Central Organization Committee office of CPC approved the General Administration of Quality Supervision,Inspection and Quarantine(AQSIQ)to set up a GI Management Office under the newly- established Department ofScience and Technology,Which shall be responsible for uniform management of GI protection.

      We issued the “Provisions on Protection of GI products”in June 2005 On the basis of the former “Provisions onProtection of Designations of Origin Products” and“Provisions on the Administration of Marks of Origin”.
